We are a surfacing contractor serving Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and surrounding regions, offering tarmacadam surfacing, resin-bound surfaces, car park construction, road surfacing, playground surfacing, and related services.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

“We”, “our”, “us” means JC Surfacing Ltd.
“You”, “your” means the person or organisation accessing our website or purchasing services.
“Services” means the surfacing, groundwork, and related works provided by JC Surfacing Ltd.
“Contract” means the legally binding agreement between you and us for the provision of services.

3. Use of Website

By using our website, you agree to:

Access it only for lawful purposes.
Not attempt to interfere with its security or proper operation.
Not copy, reproduce, or use our content without permission.

4. Service Quotations & Orders

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Quotations are based on the information provided at the time. If site conditions differ, we reserve the right to amend the price.
A Contract is formed once you accept our written quotation and we confirm acceptance in writing.

5. Pricing & Payment

All prices are stated in GBP (£) and exclude VAT unless otherwise indicated.
A deposit may be required prior to commencement of works.
Payment terms will be clearly stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
Materials remain the property of JC Surfacing Ltd until paid for in full.

6. Scope of Works

We will carry out the works described in the accepted quotation using reasonable skill and care.
Minor variations may be necessary to comply with technical requirements or site conditions.
Any additional works requested outside the agreed scope will be subject to a separate quotation.

7. Site Access & Preparation

You agree to:

Provide clear access to the site for our vehicles, machinery, and workforce.
Ensure the site is free from obstructions before work begins.
Obtain any necessary permissions or permits (e.g., council approval for dropped kerbs).

We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, adverse weather, or third-party actions.

8. Health & Safety

We operate in compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation.
You must inform us of any site hazards (e.g., underground utilities, hazardous materials) prior to work starting.

9. Completion & Handover

Upon completion, we will inspect the works with you.
Any concerns should be raised immediately.
Our work is guaranteed for the period stated in your contract, subject to our Guarantee Terms.

10. Guarantees & Liability

We warrant that our work will be free from defects in workmanship for the agreed guarantee period.
This guarantee excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or force majeure events.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the contract.

11. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel the contract before work begins, you must notify us in writing.
Any costs already incurred (materials ordered, site preparation) will be chargeable.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract in the event of non-payment, unsafe site conditions, or other valid reasons.

12. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, and content we produce remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing. You are not permitted to reproduce or use these for commercial purposes without consent.

13. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and use your information.

14. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, supply chain disruptions, or government restrictions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.
